Our School

A Brief History...

The school has been open since 1980. It has been located in Standish Community High School for many years, but we have now opened our new studios right in the heart of Standish. Click here for our location.

We provide quality teaching in a wide range of dance disciplines in a relaxing atmosphere. whether it is just for fun (or to get a bit fitter) or for the more serious student wishing to study for examinations.

Examination classes

Royal Academy of Dance (RAD)

We provide Ballet classes from pre primary grade through to Grade 8 and Vocational examinations.

Imperial Society of Teaching of Dance

We offer classes in Modern, Tap and Jazz at all levels.

Uniform...

Please see our uniform page for more details of our uniform. Most of the uniform is available from Susan Ellis who is at the school most Saturdays.

New Classes coming soon

We are hoping to start lots of new classes now we have moved to our new studios.

Please call for details, classes under consideration are singing lessons and National dancing, including Irish Dancing.

Become a Cheer Leader

Our new Cheer Leader class has started on a Monday evening. With the popularity of High School Musical, now is your chance to dust off those pom poms and impress your friends.

At the moment the class is for 7 to 11 year olds, but we are hoping to open a second class for older children if we have enough demand.

Other classes we are hoping to start are singing lessons and National dancing, including Irish Dancing.

After many months of work, our new studios are now open!!

Everyone is welcome to come and see us in our new home. Pop along on any Saturday from 9am until 5pm and see one of our classes or even join in and see what you have been missing.

Join our Portal

We have had great success with our Dance Portal. This will contain lots of information helpful to our students. It also contains pictures from previous shows and lots of useful exam and ballet information.

There will be a space where Ex-students can upload their pics and tell us what they are up to via our Blog.

You will need to register to gain access, students will need their Family ID which can be found at the bottom of your bill.

Need to get fit...

Do you want an alternative to aerobics or gym work outs?

Why not come and try our adult classes. We offer classes in TAP from beginners to advanced class for the more adventurous. Ballet classes are available for all levels and now JAZZ classes for those who prefer dancing to the latest tunes.

It is a great way to loosen those muscles and shed those pounds..

About the Teachers

All our teachers are qualified by either the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) or the Imperial Society of Teaching of Dance (ISTD).

We have many years experience at bringing the best out of our students.

Class Timetable

Classes are held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday at our new Studios on Cross Street in the centre of Standish. Please see the Class Timetable page for more information.

We have classes for fun for students from age 2 and half years upwards in Ballet, Tap, these include show work. We also hold Jazz classes from age 5.

We hold examination classes throughout the week for RAD Ballet, and ISTD Modern and Tap.
